The Chicago Baseball Museum is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of local baseball history. In addition to displays and exhibits, the museum will provide a venue for conferences, dinners, meetings, receptions and other special events.
While sites for a physical structure are explored, the museum will serve as a virtual reality. A specific location is expected to be announced shortly. To keep abreast of developments, consult the museum web site, www.Chicagobaseballmuseum.org.
The facility will feature the personal library of of the late Jerome Holtzman, the longtime Chicago baseball writer and first Major League Baseball historian. Contents will include biographies, commentaries, encyclopedias, guides, general and team histories and anthologies and collections as well as Congressional hearings and grievances and trial transcripts.
The facility will serve as a research center, not a public library. As such, library cards will not be required as materials cannot be checked out.
Please see our Donation Page for more information...
